Venice, in Milan: Gondolina’s Two Fashion Week Pop-Ups

Two addresses, two evenings, and a shared Venetian spirit. During Milan Fashion Week, Gondolina brought its world to Garbelotto Studio Milano and Imarika.

Venice has a way of travelling with you. In a colour, a texture, a familiar gesture. And sometimes, in the shoes you wear.

This September, we brought that spirit to Milan through two Gondolina pop-ups and two special events. At Imarika and Garbelotto Studio Milano, our Venetian shoes found new surroundings, bringing together fashion, design and the pleasure of meeting in person.

For us, taking Gondolina beyond the lagoon means sharing the things that make it special: the craftsmanship behind each pair, the city that inspires us, and the people who become part of our story.

Venice Walks on Wood at Garbelotto

At Garbelotto Studio Milano, in the Isola district, our pop-up explored a connection that feels especially close to Venice: the relationship between shoes and wood.

It is a fitting encounter for the friulana, a shoe closely associated with gondoliers and the wooden surfaces beneath their feet. Alongside Garbelotto’s wooden flooring, Gondolina brought a different expression of Italian craftsmanship into the showroom.

“Venice Walks on Wood” gave that connection a name.

On 23 September, a Venetian aperitivo brought the collaboration to life. Fashion and interiors met through a shared appreciation for materials, detail and the skill of the hands that shape them.

It was a setting that invited people to look more closely: at what we wear, at the spaces we inhabit, and at the craftsmanship we choose to bring into everyday life.

From Venice, with Love, at Imarika

Our Milan story also unfolded at Imarika, where Gondolina joined the boutique’s distinctive world of fashion and personal style.

Here, the pop-up placed our shoes in a new wardrobe context. Venetian character met Milanese style, opening up fresh ways to imagine Gondolina as part of an everyday look.

On 22 September, a Venetian aperitivo, live music and a shared toast marked the occasion. It was an invitation to discover our shoes in person and spend a little time in the world behind them.

That personal encounter matters to us. A photograph can introduce a shoe; meeting in person creates space for its story, its details and the feeling of wearing it.

Carrying Our Roots Forward

These two collaborations expressed different sides of Gondolina. At Garbelotto, the conversation centred on craftsmanship and materials. At Imarika, it turned towards fashion and individual expression.

Both brought us back to the same belief: our Venetian identity can find a home in new places while remaining true to its roots.
