What began as a dream to celebrate Venice through beautifully handcrafted shoes has slowly become something much bigger than a brand.
It has become a community.
A community made of people who believe in craftsmanship, authenticity, beauty and the value of things created with intention. People who choose to carry a little piece of Venice with them, wherever they go.
And for us, that is perhaps the most extraordinary part of the Gondolina journey.
Gondolina Was Never Meant to Be Just a Pair of Shoes
From the very beginning, Gondolina was created with a clear purpose: to tell a different story about Venice.
A Venice beyond postcards and clichรฉs.
The Venice of artisans, traditions, hidden corners, centuries-old craftsmanship and that particular elegance that never needs to shout.
Every Gondolina is proudly handmade in Italy, carrying with it the knowledge of generations of artisans and our deeply personal connection to the city we call home.
But over time, we realised that the story did not stop when a pair left our hands.
In many ways, that was where the story really began.
Because each of you took Gondolina somewhere new.
You styled them in your own way. You packed them for your travels. You wore them to special occasions and ordinary mornings. You introduced them to your friends, brought your families into our boutiques and returned to Venice to see us again.
And suddenly, this Venetian story became an international one.
You Made Gondolina Yours
There is something incredibly special about seeing a pair of Gondolina thousands of kilometres away from Venice.
Every time you tag us in a photograph from another city, send us a message, tell us where you wore your shoes or walk into one of our boutiques saying that a friend introduced you to the brand, we are reminded of something very important:
Gondolina is no longer only ours.
It is yours too.
Our community has become part of the identity of the brand itself.
You are the people giving Gondolina life beyond our boutiques. You are the ones carrying our story into new cities, countries and cultures.
And you are the reason a small Venetian idea can continue travelling around the world.

We have never wanted the relationship between Gondolina and the people who wear our shoes to feel transactional.
To us, you are not simply customers.
You are the people who have believed in our vision, supported Italian craftsmanship, shared our story and allowed us to continue building something deeply rooted in Venice while remaining completely open to the world.
Some of you discovered Gondolina during your first visit to Venice.
Some found us online from thousands of kilometres away.
Some have been with us almost from the beginning.
Others have only just entered our world.
But every single person has become part of the same story.
And seeing that community continue to grow is one of the things that makes us proudest.

Venice has always been a meeting point between worlds.
For centuries, people, ideas, cultures, materials and stories have arrived here from distant places and departed again transformed.
In some small way, we like to think Gondolina continues that tradition.
A pair begins its story here, surrounded by Italian craftsmanship and Venetian inspiration, and then leaves for somewhere new.
