Gondolina began with Agnese Cosulich and Javier Fernández, a shared love of Venice, and an idea they could not stop thinking about.
At the time, they both worked full-time. When their working day ended, they turned to Gondolina: speaking with suppliers, reviewing samples, packing orders and figuring out what to do next. For a long time, those evenings were the only hours they had to build the brand.
Few people believed the idea would become a business. Agnese and Javier kept going anyway. Each new model brought questions to answer and mistakes to learn from. Each step forward took time, personal investment and the help of people who believed in what they were creating.
Today, Gondolina has a team, stores and customers around the world. It has also become part of Agnese and Javier’s family life. Their son is growing up alongside the business, and conversations about new collections sometimes pause for a bottle or a few minutes of play.
Much has changed since those first evenings. What continues to guide us is the wish to share Friulian craftsmanship and the stories of Venice through every pair we make. As Gondolina has grown, we have also been able to support charitable projects close to our hearts.
We are proud of how far this idea has come, and grateful to the artisans, team, customers and friends who have helped bring it here. There is still so much we hope to do.
