For us, making shoes in Italy means developing every model in close collaboration with specialist artisans, carefully selecting the materials and refining the construction until the shoe reflects both our creative vision and the knowledge of the people producing it.

Each pair of Gondolina shoes passes through the hands of skilled Italian artisans before it is complete.

The fabric must be positioned and cut. The upper must be constructed. The trims, straps and finishing details must be applied with precision. The sole must then be assembled in a way that preserves the distinctive lightness and comfort associated with traditional Venetian and Friulian footwear.

Gondolina was born from our desire to reinterpret one of the most recognisable forms of Venetian footwear.

Traditional Venetian slippers have long been loved for their softness, elegance and simplicity. We wanted to preserve their spirit while creating something suited to contemporary life.

This meant exploring new silhouettes, unexpected fabrics and distinctive colour combinations.

Velvet slippers evolved into Mary Janes, loafers, mesh shoes and limited-edition designs inspired by Venetian architecture, celebrations, boats and landscapes.

Each new Gondolina begins with research.

We look at Venice not as a decorative theme, but as a living source of ideas: the changing colours of the lagoon, the façades of historical palazzi, the geometry of windows, the movement of water and the quiet details that often go unnoticed.

The result is a collection of handmade Italian shoes that feel rooted in tradition without belonging to the past.
