The Wild Sea Glass Jewelry Experience

The Wild Sea Glass Jewelry Experience

Do you remember those small fragments of glass found on the beach, smoothed by the waves until they became like little gemstones? During her walks by the sea, Sofia from Ramingo Lab collected dozens of them. Then the time came to bring them out of the drawers and onto the workbench.

We were delighted to introduce a new workshop in collaboration with Ramingo Lab: an intense one-hour experience dedicated to rediscovering true craftsmanship, where participants’ hands were the ones shaping the material.

The experience began with a simple brass wire. Sofia guided participants step by step through the tools and techniques needed to bend and cold-form it, recreating the wild and sinuous shapes of sea anemones. Every curve became the result of each participant’s own imagination and gaze. The brass structure gently held and framed a piece of sea glass, transforming an abandoned fragment into a unique designer charm.

The brass components used during the experience were not industrial semi-finished pieces: Sofia personally forged them one by one at her workbench in her Venice studio. The participants’ role was the most magical, creative, and intimate part of the process: shaping, weaving, and mastering the materials to build their anemone-like structure and set their piece of sea glass.

Each creation could be interpreted and worn in different ways, depending on personal style:

• It could be attached directly to shoes, customizing the straps with a unique detail
• It could be transformed into a jewelry anklet, designed to delicately enhance the foot and footwear
• Or it could become part of a coordinated luxury set: necklace and earrings

One creation, many possible ways to live and wear it.

Participants left haste at the door and began creating. They returned home with a unique piece of jewelry, wild as if it had just emerged from the sea, and entirely made by their own hands.

They became artisans for a day.
